Begin, right from the start, to work on personal growth and development.
It has been said that your success in this business is directly related to your willingness to read, study, change and grow. I know that this is true. It certainly happened for me.
Something I learned early on was to listen to those who had attained a level I desired. Follow the guidelines laid out by those who have achieved what you want.
Feed your mind, feed your mind, feed your mind.
There are generic tele-conference calls held every night of the week on the subject of building a successful Network Marketing business. Get on as many of these as you possibly can until you are solid as a rock in your commitment to your business.
I talk to everyone I can in this business. I interview top income earners as much as possible and I always ask for their five-minute tips to the top!
Once I find a common theme, I know there’s something to it and I adopt it. The funny thing is that the themes are pretty common from most successful networkers.
1. Make a commitment
2. Determine your “why.”
3. Develop your story.
4. Share your story as many times a day as possible.
5. Work with the willing.
6. Never stop growing your business and your front line.
That’s pretty much it. How simple can it get?
Be willing to be bad, on your way to being good, as you move on up to being great at sharing your story. We all stuttered and faltered along the way. Nothing makes you better than practice. Practice in the mirror, in the closet, to your children, to your dog, or anyone who will listen. Record yourself.
Reading books, listening to tapes and working hard on you is one of those “secrets.”
Spend 30 minutes each day reading or listening to something about Network Marketing, Entrepreneurship, personal growth, etc. Fill your mind with positive input. Turn your car into a moving library.
Begin to develop a personal library of books on these topics, and read them over and over again. You will learn a great deal through osmosis! When your birthday, or other holidays come around, ask for these types of items for gifts. You don’t need another sweater, but another belief building book may make the difference.
Anytime you feel your belief slipping, or your frustrations mounting, plug in an upbeat tape of another person’s success story in Network Marketing! Or, jump on a conference call. Even listening to the opportunity call offered by your company can build that excitement level right back up. These are the things that will see you through.
