Holiday Strategy for your Business
In the United States, the Holiday season starts about October 15, each year, and go through about Martin Luther King Day in the US. When you think about taking this time off, that’s nearly 3 months or an entire quarter of the year.
Yikes! Not a good idea.
One year, when I had made some business changes, I decided I could not afford to kick back and I made the decision to work full out.
I only took off the 4 days at Thanksgiving; the 24-25th of December, and then January 1st. That was it.
I made calls, emailed, blogged, sent cards and just kept going like any other time of year.
I did not have a lot of “tangible” results during the holidays, but I knew I would benefit and I did.
I did not hear back from most people. But, I didn’t focus on that. I assumed the positive. They were busy and would get back to me after the holidays.
And, that is what happened.
I qualified for a cruise; sponsored 4 people but they had not talked to me before. They had received my calls, emails and cards.
And, I created ongoing momentum for the whole next year with record sign ups. In fact, I won my company’s top sponsoring award that next year.
Remember, the online world is the same as offline, in terms of what you DO to share and build your business.
50% of retail sales for the year happen between October 15 to January 15th, of the following year. Predictions are strong for a very solid retail season here in the United States, due to a healthy economy.
