Today’s Network Marketing question is….
How do I stop feeling rejected and detach from the outcome when my prospects say no to my Network Marketing business and products?
This training was prompted by someone I experienced recently when I decided to give the Paleo diet and lifestyle a try for a bit. I was sharing my plan, and more specifically my personal reasons with some friends. It struck me as interesting that several of them got VERY defensive about my decision. They became very vehement that cutting out grains was crazy and on and one.
It made me ponder why; why was my decision, which I was not trying to pawn off on them, was raising so much angst within them?
And, it made me think about Network Marketing and how we do the same thing so often when someone thinks about it differently than we do.
Here are some thoughts
- Treat another’s interest or lack of just like anything else they don’t share a common interest with you in.
- Be as nonchalant as you would if you were recommending a movie
- Give people space and don’t take it personally
- Their decision should have nothing to do with yours
And, always follow up. People’s lives change on a regular basis! My story shows how fast this can happen and one can go from totally not interested to “couldn’t be more interested!”
