Creating a Daily Routine for Success in Your Direct Sales Business
Success comes with a full calendar of income producing activities. There are many activities you will do having to do with your business but there are only a few that create that end result – so always focus on those FIRST.
Here is what those are –
Calling new people daily and asking them to take a look – minimum of 2 will create a pipeline of massive success over time. You must create momentum and YOU get that started. In your first 90 days, you may not see a whole lot on the surface for your efforts, and this is where compound interest and understanding timing are so important.
Time commitment – About 20 minutes max.
Follow up with previous prospects. Don’t accept a no one time, as it is always a Not Now! I promise, if you will keep in touch and follow up with those who you’ve spoken with in the past, you will see outrageous success.
Time commitment – About 20 minutes max.
Strike up conversations with new people as you are out and about.
Time commitment – Varies
Call one person on your team and just check in. Be a friend first and don’t push, but do let them know you are, are there and ready to support them.
Time commitment – 10 minutes.
Mail 2-5 follow up postcards.
Time commitment – 5-10 minutes
Mindset training – always put at least 30 minutes of self development into your income producing activities. Now, you may be thinking – huh, that’s not an income producing activity, but in many ways it is, and it is so important.
Time commitment – 30 minutes
Train a new team member – this will vary from day to day, but set it out there as a goal and a plan and it will begin to show up.
Time commitment – 30 minutes.
Do you see the small blocks of time? This is reasonable and doable for anyone who is truly committed.
Here are some other steps to work on in the small cracks of time –
Come up with new ideas for marketing. These can be –
Other content creation
Networking events offline such as meetup
And, some other active business building ideas are –
Schedule an in home presentation to showcase your products and business.
Get out your chicken list and make 3 calls. Be honest, let them know they are on your chicken list and you know they are successful and would just love some advice.
Take a millionaire to coffee or lunch and see what you can learn. Remember you are the average of the 5 people you hang out with. You don’t have to change your friends entirely if they aren’t your role models for success, but you can surround yourself with others!
Here is my favorite daily routine –
Call 10 new people.
Send 10 follow up emails after phone conversation or message.
Mail 10 postcards if at all possible.
Create a piece of marketing content for online marketing – blog post, podcast, video.
Make sure marketing is ongoing on social media of previously created content.
It is our habits and daily routines that will make or break us in business and in life. Do something every day to grow your business. Write down your plan and your routine.
Put it in your calendar.
Be the toughest boss you know.
IT’s what will keep you moving in the right direction – forward!
1. Take a look at your calendar for the last month. How many income producing activities do you have listed each day?
2. What 3 activities each day that have income producing potential will you commit to?
3. Focus on 15 minute blocks of time, not large chunks.
4. Consider getting an accountability partner.
5. No excuses – seriously – just NO EXCUSES.
