Facebook Fans and Your Network Marketing Business; How to Define Your Target Audience to Find Real Facebook Fans
Have you taken the time to define who your exact target audience is?
Hint – it’s NOT everyone. And, while it might be some of your friends, wouldn’t it be awesome if they came to you?
So, yes, it COULD be anyone, you’ll do your best marketing and get your best results when you have defined who you are looking for, who you are speaking to, and fine tuned your marketing efforts to fit that person.
It starts with demographics – age, gender, location, kids/no kids, married/single…
What are their pains, challenges and what keeps them up at night?
This will give you a start. Write it down on a piece of paper and fine tune and add to it. You can go through the complete process in my Facebook Marketing e-book.
You also want to start this process by taking a personal inventory. Define YOURSELF first so you can add authentic content.
What are your interests, hobbies, humor, causes and missions, and so on?
What content can you share on your Facebook Business Page that speaks to who YOU are and will also attract who you want.
Let’s face it – like seeks like and we always do better when we are networking and working with people who are more like us, and we have common interests and values.
Now, think about the marketing content on your facebook business page that would appeal to this audience?
What motivational images? What videos? What helpful tips? What product demos? What other similar blog pages and content might you share?
You want to start speaking to THAT exact audience so they become interested in you and your page.
You want to do all of this before you start any Facebook Advertising. Take this free quiz and see if Facebook Ads might be right for your business – and it’s much cheaper than you think to run highly targeted ads. I pay less than a penny on some of my Facebook advertising!

Income Goals for Your Facebook Fans and Business Page
Let’s set some income goals for how your Facebook Business Page might assist you in getting where you want to be.
We’ll start with figuring some numbers so you know what to target to achieve your income goals
Write down your Desired annual income. Be reasonable and let’s pick a number that you truly feel is possible.
Divide it by the average sale.
You can figure this both from the customer side and the opportunity side. Ultimately, building residual income is what you want to focus on, and this REALLY involves customers. And, never forget that your team are also CUSTOMERS in the sense that their volume creates residual for you.
If you are already moving along in your business, this should be fairly simple.
If not, ask your upline or just look at what the sizzle products and primary bonus structure is.
This gives you the number of sales that you need on an annual basis.
Then, you can divide that by 12, of course, you will have a rough idea of what you need to do in a month.
So, from this, you can determine how many true, REAL fans you want to target on your Facebook Business Page to create those sales and sign ups.
Now, when you first look at this number, it may seem daunting. Overwhelming! PLEASE don’t give up before you even start. It is SO awesome when it starts.
This is a journey, and a process and like anything, you will find yourself increasing your fans, and your true fans.
These are the people looking to purchase from you.
It’s a numbers game. It really is. People are not numbers, but marketing is. Focus on the marketing, that leads you to the people who are your right, raving fans, who want what you offer.
This is attraction marketing at its finest.
How to Handle Your New Fans
Careful, this can be tricky.
It’s tempting to want to tag them, call them out and thank them.
But, they have likely come onto your page skeptically. You haven’t won them over yet.
They aren’t in love with you. They are interested and cautious. So, don’t stalk them.
You want to move them along the journey of Know, Like and Trust.
Your content needs to sell them on You, Trusting you, liking you and engaging them to interact.
Once you have identified your exact audience, this will help you know WHAT to post to SPEAK to these fans.
Build Your Email List on Facebook
Are you building an email list, along with fans? I hope so!
Did you know you can build a list without a blog? Get signed up on a month’s free trial for your lead Capture system, and go through the short tutorial on creating a list, a webform and adding it to your Facebook Business Page.
You can add to this list when you create a customer through a sale, or a prospect, or anyone who visits your Facebook Page and you give away some piece of content for free.
What is it that you offer that is in your area of expertise – what can you give your fans that endear them to you?
ASK your fans if they would like a catalog, sample or something in the mail. Just ASK! It works.
Find your people! Help them find you! And become truly remarkable!
Show them what YOU can do for THEM! Do this through value, and not just discounting your stuff or selling yourself short.

I remember the days when people would run like ads and sometimes get them for a penny each. The magic now is definitely short vids and just run lots of traffic to your page and get likes because you post great content. Thanks for the post.
