How to Build and Sell Your Direct Sales Products and Business at Networking Events
There is no mystery behind how to work Networking events such as BNI or your Chamber of Commerce, but you do need a plan.
First, consistency. This is critical. You can show up once and then complain because you don’t make sales. I have watched people do “drive by” networking for years and wonder why this type of marketing does not move their business forward. Who do you want to do business with? The one timer or the committed individual?
Dress for success; even business attire will be appropriate as you want to give off the impression that you are someone worthy of doing business with.
Be prepared to showcase or demo your main sizzle product. Even if you have a big product line, avoid the temptation to overload people with too many decisions and choices.
Develop a consistent commercial.
Schedule one on ones for after the event, so you can talk more about the opportunity.
