Tracy was a school teacher for a very brief time before she got married, had her first child, moved and decided she wanted to be home full time with her baby,
Her sister introduced her to Network Marketing, with a skin care company, but Tracy had huge resistance at first, as she was kind of a natural, tom-boy oriented gal, who didn’t resonate with skin care and what she perceived would be the persona she would put out there if she became a consultant. So, her sister guided her to a children’s educational toy company, and she jumped in with both feet.
But, she quickly realized that with a non consumable product, her income was not growing quickly and she was resistant to sponsoring because it might dilute her own retail sales.
After discussing this with her sister, she soon caught the vision of what she could accomplish by sponsoring and residual income, and after being assured she wouldn’t have to “wear panty hose!”
She spent 8 years winning trips, traveling with her family and enjoying the lifestyle that network marketing provides, until….
THE COMPANY SHUT DOWN IN THE US
After 8 years, that company shut its doors in the US, leaving their group looking for a new home. Instead of quitting, as many people do, they found a new company and got busy.
When asked about the 3 Key Skills she feels a professional network marketer must develop to be successful, here is what she shared –
1. Confidence and Belief in yourself, and Rapport building with prospects (and yourself!) Don’t believe your own press! It’s a PROFESSION and it’s about changing lives!
2. Schedule and Discipline – you must learn how to “Work From Home!” Clock in and clock out!
3. Listening and communication skills – know how to be a good communicator

Before long, Tracy discovered the concept of working with Business Opportunity leads, and learned how to master the skill of working the phones, with a script.
By Dialing for Dollars, she and her husband grew a team to 18,000 in 30 countries!
After yet another company closing its doors, she and her husband launched their won network marketing business, WTPowers.
And, if Tracy were starting over today, she would choose a good company, take massive action, and create that 30 day Success Story!
