Struggling with Focus and Procrastination?
.
Well, most of us do, so you are not alone in that struggle. We all know we need focus, right? We all know we need to avoid procrastination if we want to take our business to another level.
Sometimes, we can get so caught up in the frustration of not being focused and procrastinating, that we tend to create a vicious cycle. Does that sound familiar? I know I have times when I feel so frustrated at my LACK of ability to get going that it takes me even further from my goal.
Relax, go easy on your self and start small. That is what works for me, anyway.
I want to share three simple practices you can begin to do on a daily basis to quiet your mind, create peace, and increase your clarity and focus, and you can do it all in just 30 minutes, minimum.

Practice #1 – Meditation
.
Now, if you are like I was, you may be rolling your eyes and thinking – yeah, right, I can’t clear my mind for more than 10 second. I hear you, I can so relate. Whenever I would start to meditate, it was never long before I was making my grocery list, thinking about a previous conversation or doing anything other than quieting my mind!!!
Here is a short, 10 minute practice that will stretch and develop your ability to focus longer. It’s the So Hum Mediation. Try it and let me know your thoughts.

Practice #2 – Yoga
.
Yep, let’s practice a little Yoga to get your day started right. It’s a great morning stretch and a way to wake up your muscles and your mind. Tara Stiles has some great yoga videos right on Youtube and here is one of my favorites –

Practice #3 – 10 Minutes of Reading
.
Now, the final step is to read just 10 minutes a day. Something positive, motivational and that gets you in an upbeat mode. Fiction doesn’t count, unless it is something with a great message. No trashy novel, in other words. Some people start with the Bible, other start with books such as Think and Grow Rich or the Magic of Thinking Big.
So, there you have it. Pretty simple, huh? Think you can commit to this for a day? How about a week? And remember, it’s 21 days to a new habit! You can do it!

Let’s have some conversation!

This is a great article Jeckie thanks. Just to add, personally just spending a few minutes each morning in prayer has helped me to create peace, and increase my clarity and focus. Just entrusting myself and my day to an Almighty God who is in control of every thing just gives me peace and also just cultivating a spirit of gratitude first thing in the morning when you workup by just writing at least 5 things you are grateful for every day when you wake up can help you to focus on the important things in life. Once you do this you stop operating from a place of need but a place of appreciation and gratefulness and this becomes a source of motivation for the day ahead and once motivated procrastination diminishes.
