One of the biggest challenges we face in home business, Network Marketing or any small business (and certainly in LIFE!) is getting the most productivity out of our time.
And, preferably, getting it done in the least amount of time. After all, fun times and real life is waiting!
Here are some tips on being more productive.
First, remember – you control your OWN overwhelm. And, feeling overwhelmed is the #1 cause of stress, fatigue and burnout for women! Yikes!
“If you want to make good use of your time, you’ve got to know what’s MOST important and then give it all you’ve got!” Lee Iacocca
Get clarity around what it is you REALLY want and then LET GO OF THE FEAR OF COMMITMENT THAT IS HOLDING YOU BACK!
First, we all have so many things going in in our lives; and if we don’t prioritize, we won’t get those most important things done, in most cases.
“In truth, people make time for what they CHOOSE to do. It’s not really the time, but the WILL that is lacking.” Sir John Lubbock
Define the differences between your Projects, your goals and your tasks! And, know WHICH of these belong on your daily To-Do list. Here’s a clue – projects and goals belong on a Master Project List! Only TASKS go on your To Do List.
Wow, what a relief when you think about it. Think of the big “chunk” of overwhelm that will remove for you. Think how having a big project on your to-do list HAUNTS you. How many times have you moved it from week to week?
A project is a big undertaking that involves more than one task. A goal is something you want to achieve through repetitive tasks and actions.
Your to-do list should only contain those “next steps” that move your project along to attaining your goal.
Make sense?
Choose only the “next step” tasks each day and always ask yourself – “How profitable is this activity?” “Does this feel good and right?” And pay attention to whether your answer is just procrastination/resistance or is it truly not in alignment with your values and goals.
Don’t be afraid to say NO to too many commitments and such that people ask of you. You DON’T have to do everything!
Finally, saying “no” includes those time sucking tasks such as Facebook, Twitter and non-productive Social Media activities.
Commenting on everyone’s status updates won’t get you very far in terms of building profitable, potential business relationships; especially if they are already in the business!
Save your social media times like that for once you have completed your income producing tasks that are going to move you closer to completing your end goal and projects!
More to come, hope that gets you on a path, though!

Hi Jackie!
I really needed to hear this today. I get so stuck in learning mode, then processing mode, then activity mode and sometimes I don’t know when to do what. I think I really need to spend time mapping out a Master Plan and learn how to build my To Do lists from that. Thanks!

Moving from learning to processing to action mode can be the hardest, especially with online marketing stuff. And especially if it is something you are passionate about (which I am!)
I learned to structure my day around – income producing activities first – calling leads; following up; customer calls, etc.
Then, content creation of some sort so I have a “funnel” out there working. Then, more learning and figuring things out.
I also learned to “chunk” my time. So half of one day, I’ll make 6-8 videos. I process them and get them ready to upload over time. Then create blog posts from that; upload to facebook over time; create articles from the same content, etc.
Hope that helps!
EXPECT Success!

Thanks Heather! It is easy to get overwhelmed when we overload the to do list, especially with non priority things. Keep it simple and focused for success!
