How to Use Company Incentives, Trips and Contests to Grow Your Direct Sales Business
Many party plan companies offer this as do some network marketing companies. Are there sign up specials, product specials, product launches ongoing with your company?
Pay attention to the incentives that your company offers as you can use these in a powerful way:
It gets the field PAID, and generating sales and customers. Teach someone how to get their money back right away with their own customer retailing. Leading with the product is often much easier!
It provides social proof.
Company incentives also give you a great way to follow up with people you may have shared your business with before who weren’t interested at the time. Emphasis on TIME. Timing changes for people all of the time so reach out.
I’m recording this show as I am driving so I was shooting off the cuff in my verbiage. Get more solid ideas –
I’m calling you BECAUSE
“The company is offering….”
“I’m expanding my business in your area…”
“We have some special incentives to help new team partners into profit quickly…”
Give your team ideas how to use incentives to reach out to people for new contacts, follow ups, past contacts and their own retail sales.
Use these also at offline events because people are watching you, and paying attention, even if they don’t show YOU this. When you speak at networking events, giving your 30 second commercial, share those incentives.
Leading with the product is the best way to go when you are at a networking event, and then you can be sure your share the opportunity on the back end.
Company Incentive Trips
What trip does your company offer? Learn the qualification and say –
“Hey, how would you like to (Cruise to Jamaica with me in the fall….)”
“Have you ever been to Rome…?”
Start the conversation in an easy way like those above and then share what you are working on with your company.
Drip the details of any trips on your team on a weekly basis. Keep them thinking about it and working toward it.
Break the trip down from the BIG amount that needs to be done and share what a monthly, then weekly, then daily plan would need to look like to achieve that.
Your Own Incentives
You can always piggy back your own incentives on to anything your company offers.
If there are retail sales goals, let your team know that anyone who makes the goal goes into a drawing for a $100 Gift Card; or whatever fits for you. Make sure that you aren’t going into debt to get there, but making it a wash can be okay. You are reinvesting back into your business when you first start for sure.
Also, on company trip incentives, you can always add a free hotel night the night before, or after the trip, for those who qualify. Perhaps a drawing, like the gift card. Or, maybe you are going to take everyone who qualifies on the team out to a special dinner the night before.
This can also happen at company convention, too!
People love recognition, they love travel, fun, bling and so on! Get people excited and involved.
Pay attention to any incentives your upline is offering, too.
1. Get dialed into company emails, programs and incentives. Trips?
2. Figure out the system you will use to offer these to your team.
3. What incentives, if any, is your upline offering?
4. Figure out any incentives you are also going to offer.
