I say “and more” because we ALL know Social Media
changes on a DIME.
Platforms come and go; layouts change like the weather; and we don’t know what lies ahead.
However, when I look back to my beginning days online, October 1999, I ASSURE you, most of what I do TODAY, all of these years later is still very much the same.
I BUILD RELATIONSHIPS.
I BUILD MY BRAND and establish what I am known for.
I SPEAK to MY Tribe, and we all have one, and I attract them to me (and so will you!) I don’t worry about the ones who are not my Tribe! I (nor you) will ever convert everyone.
Where so many people fail is that they forget that these are SOCIAL sites; that everyone on there is a LIVE, breathing human being, with thoughts, ideas, feelings, and an education about what they like and don’t like in terms of their “BS Meter!”
And, a lot of what we see on Social Media is…… BS!!!
I love working with Solopreneurs, Real Estate Agents, Direct Sales and Network Marketers and helping them start, develop and HONE a social media strategy.
Here are some of the questions I hear most often –
Should I have a separate Facebook Profile for my business; I mean, after all, I don’t want my friends and family seeing stuff about my business…?
Which is better, Instagram or Snapchat?
Do I have to livestream?
What should I be doing on a daily basis?
Ahhh, I know and feel your pain. I have been there, and done that. My son was in Kindergarten and my daughter in preschool when I started this journey.
The key is to first take a deep breath and then a decision, as I said above. Start with the decision to RUN (or walk) the marathon and then put on those marathon shoes and lace them up!
Social Media lives and does on CONTENT! Let’s face it – everything you see, read and “consume” on Social Media is content – video, images, status updates, posts about lunch and so on!
That is CONTENT.
What makes a difference to those consuming the content is one word – VALUE!
As in – what’s in it for me?
When you provide content of VALUE, for your target audience, you become relevant. You stay relevant. You get shared. You build a bigger audience. Your business thrives.
This is NOT advertising. It is NOT blatantly pitching your products, your service or your opportunity.
I teach how to use Social Media to build relationships; to generate new leads; and new business from those leads and relationships.
People do business with those who they know like and trust and there has never been a better way to build that audience…that TRUST as FAST as with Social Media!
