Are You Paid What You Are Worth

Ask that question of 100 people and most will quickly respond with “NO!” And yet, very few take the steps to do something about it.

Here are the hard, cold facts – your employer is only going to pay you right at or slightly over what it takes to keep you in the handcuffs. Most employers realize that decades of brainwashing to “go to school, get an education/degree and a good job and create financial security” has and is still working.

My son, at almost 20, has spent the last year taking classes, getting countless certifications, testing, applying and passing some rigorous requirements to become an EMT, Fire Fighter 1 and pass his ambulance driving test. He just landed his first job and his starting pay is a whopping $9.00 an hour.

Yet he will be a first responder to the scene of many life and death situations and may be responsible for saving YOUR life.

My daughter, at 17, is going to be serving water and assisting in the dining room at a state funded (gotta love California!) university conference center. Her starting pay, for showing up cute, perky and smiling – $13.00 an hour. She probably won’t be called upon to save any lives over the summer!

My point – the only way to get paid what you are worth is to chart your own path; step out and become an entrepreneur. Use the skills, knowledge and abilities you have to share your gift with the world and get paid for it.

Don’t let an employer or society dictate what you are worth.

Network Marketing is a great starting place if you are serious, and committed to YOURSELF. If you aren’t truly committed, “don’t bother applying.” You’ll waste your time and money. It’s not for the faint of heart, but boy is the pay fantastic if you will invest yourself into it like you do your job!

See you at the top!

EXPECT Success!
