It’s easy to get bogged down in Social Media Marketing – trying to figure out what to do, when to do it and where to do it, right?
Here are 4 Quick Tips to get you on the road to success. Each day, determine if what you are doing out in the Social Media arena fits and then proceed:
Decide what your goals are for your Social Networking and Online Strategy. What do you want to accomplish as you are interacting online? Write these down, as this will assist in putting together the rest of your strategy.
How much time do you have? This will play a big role in your goal setting and strategy. Be realistic. Be disciplined. Avoid drama and get your stuff done first!
What Marketing Funnels do you want to use? Marketing funnels are those sites and places online where you will be spending time. My suggestion is to decide on one or two marketing funnels/social networking sites to begin with. Don’t take on too many at once.
Determine who your target market is and how you will find them on the social media sites you are using. On Facebook, it might be groups or pages; on Twitter, you can do a keyword search. Once you’ve found your market, spend your time in these areas making friends/followers; interacting with and engaging in conversations. Your target audience might be Home schoolers; wahms; cooking; skin care; weight loss, etc.
Don’t let go of your current day to day result producing activities to do this. Make it part of your strategy. Continue making calls and prospecting; booking parties; following up and giving business overviews regularly.
Remember, it takes time and consistency to build your presence, brand and following. You are there to build relationships first, and then business will follow. Have fun with the journey!
