Social Media as a Sharing Tool For Your Business
Yes, it is possible to share your business and your products out on social media in a way that does not alienate friends or family. And, there are some solid ways to do this.
Key Points –
1. You want to ease people into seeing the business side of you, if it is not something thay are used to. Don’t start posting nothing but your business or you will overwhelm them and they will wonder where their friend has gone.
2. Start with a product story. Yes, share a short video that simply shares your enthusiasm, no link and no invitation to Private Message you. Why? Well, we aren;t stupid and anyone interested will do just that. Just share a story.
3. Share other related content. Maybe you are weight loss, and now you can share healthy eating recipes, workout ideas, workout clothes and anything that is related that gets them used to this side of you.
4. Share a video of you opening your business kit and why you decided to move form customer to also promoting the products. Again, no link or invitation, just your story. Maybe your excitement AND that you are just a little scared. People love authenticity and vulnerability.
5. Remember 80/20 rule! Share 80% of the time socially, and weave your business in every so often. Don’t stop being social on SOCIAL media!
