With over 1 billion people now on Facebook, this is a tremendous asset to your Network Marketing and Online business.
Think about it? How many people do you suppose are right under your nose who might be a perfect fit for your business? Hundreds and thousands, honestly!
There are a a few primary types of status updates you want to post to support you in your business.
Personal – things going on in your life; photos of trips and so on. Here is a quick link to a recent article I did on 6 Facebook Status Updates to Create Engagement With Your Prospects.
The one I didn’t mention there is the business inquiry post. About 10% of the time, you want to be sharing some very subtle, curiosity creating posts about your business and instead of posting links, ask people to Private Message you on Facebook to learn more. I train my team extensively on this.
Beyond that, pay attention to what others are posting and commenting on in your newsfeed. You can learn a lot.
Remember that acronym you’ve been taught in Network Marketing about F. O. R. M?
Family, Occupation, Recreation and/or Money.
Family is typically something we hear people talk about all of the time, and what we are seeking to uncover is what is missing there, that potentially, your network marketing business might complete? A common one I hear these days is from grandparents, who don’t see their grandkids enough because of the cost of air travel, and children living so far away due to jobs and such.
Occupation is simple – listen for who might be discontent at their job! Really, this discussion is EVERYWHERE! Life is too short to be in a job you just don’t like, and the same for others!
Recreation – who is skipping their vacation this year, or who is just missing some passion about life in general?
And, finally we have money – another area of lack for many people!
One thing about Facebook, and you can probably relate – people tend to share more openly because there is a degree of anonymity because they aren’t face to face. Spend sometime paying attention and then you can contact those who are sharing at the appropriate times.
This short video is going to give you some ideas –

Remember, Social Media sites are part of your marketing funnels (Description of Marketing Funnels here!) and are still about building relationships first! Don’t be guilty of these “Facebook Blunders!”
Also, don’t forget my Facebook For MLM Profits E-book for even more!
So, are you ready to get out on Facebook and do more than chit chat? Ready to listen and then reach out with the intent of offering the gift of your business? Make sure you are confident and DON’T just spam your link. Use good language and remember – “If I…Would You?” Don’t give a link or reveal anything until you have approached them and asked if they MIGHT be open.

Hi Jackie,
Thank you very much for shooting a video to illustrate how the F.O.R.M. is used. You are spot on about the “If I…. would you?”” approach. Everyone using social media to connect with people should do prospect the professional way as you described.
I admire Tim Sales’ way. “Greet and Qualify”. If others have no challenges that we help them with our products or opportunities, we simply do not have to share (present ).
Thanks, Jackie!

Things really changed for me when I started using If I, Would You…getting permission and agreement ahead of time!
I heard something great at a training this weekend –
If you expectation going in is to get a “sign up” you will fail more than 90% of the time.
If your expectation is to get an ANSWER – yes, no or maybe – you will succeed 100% of the time!
