Fear and Gratitude in Direct Sales
We’ve been reviewing Susan Jeffer’s Book – Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway this month.
Here are the notes from today’s show:
Gratitude
Do you consider yourself a giving person? Giving is more than just monetary.
Do you practice gratitude and tell those close to you thank you on a regular basis? Or do you expect them to just know it, or appreciate YOU instead of the other way around?
Try it today – say thank you to someone you appreciate, maybe your spouse, and actually express what it is you are grateful for.
Some times thoughts of gratitude bring up thoughts of scarcity, and it’s as if being a giver will take away one’s ability to then get.
But, it’s actually the reverse. The more you give, the more you get. It’s a law of the universe.
Scarcity is a big issue with many people and certainly something I have struggled with myself.
Pay attention to how it may be showing up for you.
You can’t be thinking about what you are going to get back and be an authentic giver.
Pick 5 people today to offer sincere gratitude to.
Resentment
Once you have expressed gratitude to this close to you, now it’s time to move on to those who you feel anger and resentment toward.
There is a lesson and value in this exercise for you. In every negative experience we have with another, there is a learning lesson.
You don’t need to contact these people personally, but go into a room by yourself, get comfortable and close your eyes. Visualize each person, one at a time. Surround them with a healing white light and tell them that you wish them nothing but good things.
And, thank them for what they contributed to you in the form of a learning lesson.
Give away time, give away knowledge and information.

Your Higher Power
When you are a believer, spend time focused on your higher power, your God and connecting to the inner wisdom that will guide you along the path you are pursuing.
Which would you rather listen to? The Chatterbox or Your Higher Power?
Use affirmations and learn to shut down the chatterbox.
Have faith and trust in the process. Know that when you plug in to your higher conscious, you will be guided to the right actions, and people in your business.
Spend time each day in mediation and prayer. Close your eyes, close your mind, and open your heart.
When you are feeling fear, that is the best time to close your mind and ask for the right solution.
Do this at night before you drift off to sleep and the ask for the right actions and answers to show up.
And, when things don’t turn out like you planned, just know that the timing was not right and would not have served your final good.

All powerful points, Jackie! I have been working on all of these things a lot recently. I also read “Feel the Fear” and it’s true that the more you go through the fear it becomes easier.
I also really started focusing on gratitude and turn my will over to God every night. I am so thankful and learning so much about people, even though I am 43, I feel innocent again!
