Developing a Criteria List to Choose a Direct Sales Company

It’s a question you may have asked, and may even be asking as you navigate the world of Direct Sales.
It’s not easy to build a successful business of any kind – real estate, ice cream shop, even a franchise takes time, so it can be challenging, not just in Network Marketing.
Develop your own criteria list of what’s important to you in Network Marketing.
How to Choose a Network Marketing Company
First, don’t get caught up in Hype. If it sounds too good to be true, it might be. See beyond the hype and ask some solid questions. It can be tempting to listen to someone sharing something that sounds just amazing. But, ask yourself – is this real? Is this believable? What is really true here about this Network Marketing company?
This video, shares some things to ponder and consider putting on your criteria list.
Next, look at your Direct Sales Product line. How do you see yourself using the product? How do you feel about the product? How do you see yourself sharing the product? Do you see this as a long term plan, with the product line? Would you use it regardless of the compensation plan?
How do you see yourself getting some customers? In light of recent events with Vemma and Herbalife, having a strong customer base will become more and more important.
Developing a strong customer base is so important to long term success, and getting you launched.
Those who come in just for the money, without a strong product focus, usually results in the loss of customers and income if that person does not continue to build the business.
Developing your product story so you have something to share is important, too.
How will you be marketing your business, products and opportunity?
For me, I am big on social media so I want a product line that fits in with videos and visual marketing.
How is the product price point? Is it competitive with similar products out in the open market? Make sure it is not overpriced to what someone can get locally, because that will be a deterrent.
What about the company international expansion plan? Is it growing outside your local area? Can you participate in the Network Marketing business in other countries? If not, why not? If you are using social media you will be attracting international leads, so you want to be prepared with what to do with these leads.
Don’t get caught up in using terms such as the BEST, the Fastest Growing, or any of that, because that does not matter to your prospect.
Look at the management team and ownership and do some Google Searches to see what the backgrounds are, and what you can find out. Look for any blatant red flags.
What are the social media marketing rules? Are you able to use the highly powerful tools of the internet to market and build your business?
What will be expected of you to access all areas of the compensation plan? Do you have a basic understanding of it, and does it seem reasonable and in alignment with what you are willing to do to build your business?
