What an exciting time! You have likely hit the SUBMIT button and joined your network marketing company! You are excited, full of hope and promise!
So, after all of the fireworks fade, and reality sets in, what do YOU do to be successful?

Preparation – why being prepared in your business is so important. What are the business building tools that you are going to need to be successful? Get with your sponsor or upline to be sure, and listen for what I use. You can go fast or slow, here is what I recommend after doing it both ways!
Mindset, Expectations, and the Entrepreneurial VS Employee Mindset – If you were to interview the top 10 income earner in a dozen companies, you would find one thing across that board that consistently duplicates and that is MINDSET. There will be huge variety in how they contact people; the tools they use; the way they find people, and so on, but their mindset and strong mental outlook and focus will be very similar.
Please write this down and read it each day! We tend to OVER-ESTIMATE what we can do in one YEAR, and underestimate what we can do in 5. Most of us come into this business from an employee background and so we are used to getting one unit of pay for one unit of work. This is not how it works as an entrepreneur, but more on that in the podcast.
Not everyone is going to tell you yes, and you may hear a few no’s before you get to some yeses. If you know this going in, and are prepared for it, then you will be expecting to hear no from some who you are hoping will join you.

Define Goals, “Open for Business Hours” and Daily Method of Operation –
Setting goals can be a challenge in the beginning because we often tend to base it around income. And, that is hard to predict in the beginning.
So, I focus on setting daily and weekly intentions on what I am going to do in the process. How many calls will I make each day and week: new contacts; follow ups; and so on. This are the income producing activities that move your business forward. Get with your sponsor and determine a business action plan that fits for you and listen to the podcast for what I do.
Developing Your Candidate List –
I like to think of network marketing along the lines of franchising. We open outlets and get paid for opening outlets. The more outlets we have open, the more income we generate. Your list is the start of something HUGE!
The Importance of Customers – set a goal to get 10 customers right away. These are not people who want the business; but those who love the product only. Learn how to introduce the business side to everyone with a simple few sentences, as outlined in the podcast.
Launch event – whether you are a party plan or not, you want to leverage your time, excitement and the first few weeks by scheduling 1-3 launch events. Short, sweet and MADE for sponsoring!
Developing Your Story – How to develop an effective story that SELLS and doesn’t just TELL!
Success Language– What you say, how you say it and the answers you provide to your prospect long before that ever look at the business or products can make or break your business!
