<p>Are they more talented? Smarter? Better Educated? Is it hereditary?</p>
<p>The answer is none of those things. In fact, it is something so small that it may shock you. And it&#8217;s something that you can easily begin to do; and , just as easily not begin to do.</p>
<p>It starts with your philosophy. Have you given much thought to your philosophy? Your philosophy is how you think; how you reason about certain things; it&#8217;s what you know and how you apply it to what you do.</p>
<p>A positive philosophy is going to inspire you to make positive steps each day toward your goals. A negative philosophy is going to allow you to talk yourself out of taking those steps.</p>
<p>And, it is the small, daily action steps; compounded over time that create what you are looking for in life. Think about it – this is true in every area of your life.</p>
<p>Want to lose weight? It means choosing the salad over the cheeseburger, more often than not; it means walking for 30 minutes a day instead of hanging on the couch; it means being aware of the choices you make and choosing wisely.</p>
<p>Want to build your business? It means making those 2 calls a day to prospects, even when you don&#8217;t want to; it&#8217;s about attending your company&#8217;s regional or national event, even if you go by yourself; it&#8217;s about picking up that book and reading 10 inspiring pages each day.</p>
<p>Each of these things is so easy to do; <strong><em>and so easy not to do.</em></strong></p>
<p>It&#8217;s not huge action steps that makes one more successful. It&#8217;s small, daily steps, compounded over time.</p>

<p>First, keep the main thing, the main thing &#8211; The only thing you want to be selling, marketing or branding online is YOU. Not your company; not your products; not affiliate programs, etc.</p>
<p>Set yourself up as a resource for others and always focus on providing content and value for those who find you.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s all about building relationships and turning high tech into high touch by truly engaging people. It&#8217;s not having 20,000 followers who have no idea who you are or what you&#8217;re about. It&#8217;s about having a tribe of followers who know your name; know your message and are interested in what you have to say.</p>
<p>Here are some things you might factor into your daily and weekly marketing plan using Social Media for your business –</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #3366ff;">Facebook</span></strong> – login daily; make status updates; keep it a mix of business and social (your followers want to get to know YOU, not your &#8220;deal!&#8221;); acknowledge birthdays; make friends – find 10 or 20 new friends each day who you share common interests with; check out events; join groups and get involved in the conversation.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #3366ff;">Twitter</span></strong> – offer value and social interaction through your Tweets; engage in other conversations going on; find new followers from your target markets and areas of interests; create more than just a one sided conversation.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #3366ff;">Blog</span></strong> – create a new article each week for your blog; this piece of content can easily turn into a Note on Facebook; An article on an article publishing site; a discussion piece on a group or forum; and content for a video. Make you content ideas really work for you.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #3366ff;">Video Marketing</span></strong> – create a video once a week for YouTube and other video sites. Brainstorm a list of 30-40 topics and make 3 -6 minute videos around each concept. Use books and other resources for your ideas and then put it into your own words. Upload your videos to Facebook and also use on your Blog. Again, make the most of your content.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #3366ff;">Forums and Groups </span></strong>– Get engaged with PEOPLE through conversations online. There are always people on groups who know less than you and more than you. Learn from those with more knowledge and interact with them. Be a helpful friend to those who know less and create a following.</p>
<p>I highly recommend you read <a href="http://bit.ly/sgtribes" target="_blank"><strong>&#8220;Tribes&#8221; by Seth Godin</strong></a> and <a href="http://bit.ly/Vayner" target="_blank"><strong>&#8220;Crush It&#8221; by Gary Vaynerchuk</strong></a>. Two great books to get your mind wrapped around the kind of &#8220;Community&#8221; you want to create online and the kind of commitment/action steps it REQUIRES religiously to make it happen.</p>
<p>It won&#8217;t happen overnight. And there will be days you feel like quitting. The beauty of the internet is that every step you take builds on the next and begins to leave a &#8220;footprint&#8221; that leads back to you. The more footprints you create, the more ways people can find you.</p>
<p>Choose the methods online that you have passion about. For me, I love socializing and building relationships on facebook; I enjoy blogging and writing articles; and I LOVE video marketing because it allows me to get the message out to both readers and non readers; and it creates more of a bond and a feeling of connection.</p>
<p>Follow your passion and always be asking &#8220;What can I offer my tribe?&#8221;</p>

<p>Have you felt that way? Do you feel that way now? If so, you are quite normal, which means you have what it takes to be successful!</p>
<p>Your vision is the picture that you have of yourself, your life and your future.</p>
<p>Whether you like it or not, it is also what you are living right now. Whatever is your dominate focus in your life is creating your reality.</p>
<p>goals that will make this vision of perfection happen in your life.</p>
<p>I am a believer in setting intentions along with those goals.</p>
<p>Intentions are powerful because they are those things that you have absolute control over. You are not dependent on anyone else to master your intentions.</p>
<p>So, you can start with some goal setting, and then after that, you will want to set up your intentions for how you plan to achieve those goals. Finally, finish strong with your Action Plan, and specifically, those Single Daily Actions.</p>

<p><strong><em>&#8220;I only have a few minutes so I shouldn&#8217;t call any leads.&#8221;</em></strong> WHAT? Make ONE phone call and applaud yourself for that. It&#8217;s one more action step in your journey.</p>

<p><strong><em>&#8220;I work full time and it&#8217;s easier for those who don&#8217;t.&#8221;</em></strong> Not true. Everyone has their own challenges to work with and for those who work, you are out in the mix daily and what better time to begin to make some connections with people. Adapt a natural, fun way of doing this.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong><em>&#8220;Only the ones who got in early reach the top.&#8221;</em></strong> Recently on my Team Call, our VP Charlie Umphred shared that &#8220;the beginning is not necessarily the best time to get in to a company.&#8221; I know in my first business, MANY major top income earners came in after I started, which told me a thing or two!</p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><em><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: #008080;">TODAY is the day to create your future so you have so much more of it to look forward to.</span></span></em></strong></p>

<p>So, what steps are you capable of taking today? Will you make just ONE phone call? Pass out ONE business card? Ask ONE person about a fundraiser? Home Party? Private Business Reception? Conference Call? Suggest your products?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>In less than a year, my son will turn 18 and become an &#8220;official&#8221; adult. I&#8217;m not sure whether to smile and celebrate or cry. IT&#8217;s gone so fast, and it just keeps going faster. He&#8217;s moving into programs that support him in his desired career path and it&#8217;s mind blowing to watch it all unfold.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>How could we already be so far along in time that he is ready to begin studying his career path? Where does time go? How can he possibly take this first MAJOR step away from me?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>What I can smile about is this &#8211; I made the decision to always be home with him. I made the decision that I would do whatever it takes to be there. I heard his first words, was there when he sat up, crawled, and I watched him take his first step, wave bye-bye, play on his first team, ride his bike, go to school on the first day and on and on.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Today, I get to be there when he takes another step on his path.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>If I had not made that commitment to pursue and succeed in a home business, I would have missed so much of this, and may not have been able to take him today to pursue this exciting personal journey.</p>
<p> </p>

<p>The personal journey you embark upon when you commit to growing a network marketing business is unique in so many ways. It prepares and educates you for so many aspects of life. It prepares you for the greatness of life and also prepares you for dealing with challenges. Which brings me to today&#8217;s topic -</p>
<p>Stress and adversity are necessary for growth.</p>
<p>Knowing this will keep you moving forward in your business daily, despite any obstacles or perceived rejection. Know that the steps you take and the obstacles you encounter are absolutely necessary for your growth on to new levels. This will develop your full potential. No one enjoys stress and adversity but you can learn to face it, accept it, embrace it and charge through it on your road to ongoing growth and success.</p>
<p>You will persist until you succeed with this belief. And, you&#8217;ll know that it&#8217;s not about how much product you retail or how many people you sponsor. Develop your leadership and others will line up to learn from you and grow with you.</p>
<p>As you grow through your business, begin to watch for those people in your business who show up already possessing one or more of these beliefs. This is your target market and will lead you on to awesome success. You are looking for people who possess these beliefs and who understand the power in leveraging their time, contacts and credibility to help others while helping themselves.</p>
<p>Once you sponsor 4 or 5 people who fit this description, your biggest problem won&#8217;t be trying to motivate them. It will be trying to keep up with them!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>In the meantime, keep your focus on your own single daily actions and business plan. What are your plans and goals for this week? Write them down and commit to acting on them.</p>
